Notification Templates

SpamTitan Gateway can be configured to send notification emails when a virus, spam or banned attachment file is detected in an email. Notification emails are sent if SpamTitan Gateway has been configured to send them. See the table below for a description of each template and how to enable it.

Go to Settings > Notification Templates to edit notification templates.

Click Save for each template to save any changes made or click Reset to reset template to default values.

Macros can be used in the notification templates. See Supported Macros for Notification Templates.

Description

Notify Virus Recipient

When an email is identified as containing a virus, this message can be sent to the intended recipient of the email.

To enable go to Content Filtering > Viruses and enable Notify Intended Recipient:.

Notify Virus Administrator

When an email is identified as containing a virus, this message can be sent to the administrator.

To enable go to Content Filtering > Viruses and enable Notify Administrator:.

Notify Virus Sender

When an email is identified as containing a virus, this message can be sent to the sender of the email.

Notify Banned Attachment Recipient

When an email is identified as containing a banned attachment, this message can be sent to the intended recipient of the email.

To enable go to Content Filtering > Attachments and enable Notify Intended Recipient:.

Notify Banned Attachment Administrator

When an email is identified as containing a banned attachment, this message can be sent to the administrator.

Notify Banned Attachment Sender

When an email is identified as containing a banned attachment, this message can be sent to the sender of the email.

Notify Spam Administrator

When an email is identified as spam, this message can be sent to the administrator of the appliance if spam admin notifications are enabled.

To enable go to Content Filtering > Spam and enable Notify Administrator:.

Notify Spam Sender

When an email is identified as spam, this message can be sent to the sender of the email. This message is sent if the recipient has a policy set to reject spam, rather than pass or quarantine it.
