Domain Policy Overview

SpamTitan Gateway uses policies to decide how mail is treated. Policies can be applied to a domain (domain policy) or an individual user (user policy).

When a new domain is added to SpamTitan Gateway, a default policy is created for that domain in Anti-Spam Engine > Domain Policies. After that, any mail to a user within that domain will apply that domain's policy unless a user policy exists for the email recipient, in which case the user policy is applied.

While global settings are managed in the Content Filtering tab, spam filtering, virus filtering and banned attachment filtering can be enabled or disabled on a per domain or per user policy basis in the Anti-Spam Engine > Domain Policies or User Policies tabs.
